48th STREET REMODEL REVEAL

Ahhh, it’s reveal day for the 48th Street remodel! Originally built in 1930, this classic Tudor had a handful of interesting design choices from back in the day– think pink and green tile with a lavender toilet and tub– and my clients knew that would instantly be changing when they purchased the home. We gutted the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room for a full remodel with light, bright, and marble finishes for a timeless aesthetic. Scroll down to see the before and after transformations!

KITCHEN

We kept the galley kitchen in the original space, but said goodbye to the dated cabinetry, yellow counters and backsplash– actually, everything! It got a full-blown demo and we reworked the space to be more functional for them and even took out part of the wall in between the kitchen and dining room to open it up and feel more spacious. We added an eating bar and beverage fridge, new appliances, pantry, and the most stunning real marble counters and backsplash! The light greige cabinets pair beautifully with the light tones and brushed brass for a completely transformed space that’s exactly their style!

LAUNDRY

We kept the laundry in the existing space, but reconfigured it to include a sink and more counter space along with usable storage and a hanging rod for drying. The light greige cabinets blend beautifully with the backsplash and brushed brass, and that marble waterfall counter from the washer and dryer to the sink counter is done just right so nothing falls through the cracks! The tile floor carries over from the kitchen in a beautiful parquet pattern that’s durable and easy to clean!

BATHROOM

We gutted the bathroom and reworked the layout to be more functional and useful for their family. We kept it light, airy, and sophisticated with porcelain marble tile, marble counters, and white walls with accents of wood tones. The new vanity provided much needed storage and we gave it a little extra oomph with the thick counter and wall-mounted faucet. We included a wet area with both a tub for the kids and a shower space. This way, there’s a nice, spacious shower and all of the tub splashes still go right down the drain!

BEFORE + AFTER PHOTOS

Here you go! What an amazing transformation all-around! All of these images are taken from the same angle! This bathroom is probably one of my favorite befores, especially with the side-by-side comparisons!

Wow! Everything is so perfect. Fantastic designs. I especially like that laundry room. So roomy and efficient. The kitchen cabinet colors really are unique. Fantastic improvement over the before pictures
