Fresh Squeezed

Hey there! If you happened to catch my stories last weekend, you’ll know that Rob and I got a little ambitious and made all. the. things. for Jackson. We bought the Infantino Squeeze Station and proceeded to buy out Costco in terms of fruit and veggies. Jackson loves all veggies and fruit and we knew that making these pouches would be a win for easy on-the-go food and snacks. We peeled as necessary and cut everything up– apples, pears, butternut squash, pumpkin (100% pumpkin in a can), carrots, mangoes, beets, blueberries, broccoli, and strawberries– decided on our recipes, blended them in the Vitamix and then made the pouches with the Squeeze Station. We ended up with 8 recipes and 47 pouches in total! It took about 3 hours from start to clean up and we couldn’t be happier to have all of those made! We’re hoping it lasts about a month and a half if we do one a day, but Jackson crushes food, so we’ll see! Here are our recipes– everything listed below made the 47 pouches!

Recipes

#1: 2 apples, 2 cups pumpkin, 3/4 cup carrots– made 7 pouches

#2: 2 apples, 1 mango, 1/4 beets– made 4 pouches

#3: 2 pears, 2 cups pumpkin, 3/4 cup carrots– made 6 pouches

#4: 2 cups carrots, 2 cups strawberries, 1 cup butternut squash, 1/2 cup beets– made 6 pouches

#5: 2.5 cups strawberries, 2 cups mango, 2 bananas, 1 cup blueberries, 1/2 cup oats– made 8 pouches

#6: 1 cup broccoli, 2 pears, 1 cup blueberries– made 5 pouches

#7: 2 cups pears, 2 cups carrot, 1 cup strawberries, 2 tsp lemon juice– made 6 pouches

#8: 2 cups butternut squash, 2 apples, 1 cup strawberries– made 5 pouches

They’ve all been taste-tested and approved, but if we’re being honest, #6 is not my fave. Jackson eats it, but I wouldn’t haha! Everything else is awesome and some taste like a Jamba Juice! We have another batch of recipes to try and will report on those later! We pulled out one of each flavor for this week, but put the rest in the freezer because they last up to two months!

Happy eating!
