Curtis Park Project Reveal
It’s REVEAL day at our #CurtisParkProject! We’re so excited to share the before and afters of this 1929 Spanish Casa because this is one amazing transformation! What began as a small, extremely dated kitchen (and that might be an understatement!) with an even tinier nook that you could hardly eat in and an afterthought adjacent laundry space has turned into a gorgeous stunner!
We stayed true to the original style of the home and selected materials to complement and update its Spanish aesthetic. Luckily for us, our clients were on board with some color-loving ideas too! Their only requests were to keep the original copper hood and design a functional kitchen with more counter space and room to entertain.
A hammered copper sink and brushed brass hardware coordinate with the hood while the matte black mixes in a contemporary flair on the faucet and pendants. (And we found out this Brizo Smarttouch faucet is a favorite in the kitchen!) And that tile?! The colors are perfect, the pattern is fun and the installer did an incredible job! There aren’t any outlets in the backsplash– everything’s hidden up under the cabinets!
The nook turned into a butler’s pantry with plenty of light and storage with glass doors and shelves so the cabinet lighting filters through. The arched doors complement the arches throughout the home and we carried the tile in here for a fun accent!
Alright, are you ready for this?! We know you want to see the before photos! Just remember we tore down a wall, moved windows and doors and stole space from the back room behind the fridge!
Sooo crazy, right?! We’ve paired a couple of them up below so you can see the transformation! Doesn’t that original hood just shine with the new surroundings?! (This is the same angle too!)
We absolutely love how this kitchen turned out and even more thrilled to have happy homeowners! The full portfolio is loaded for you here! >> Curtis Park Project <<
