Baby Song has such a special place in my heart! It bridges multiple generations and speaks to God’s faithfulness from generation to generation. What began as a song my dad wrote and sang to me each night growing up eventually became a prayer lullaby that I sing over my boys every night. The two original verses written by my dad have been sung to our oldest since he was born, and he’s the one who affectionately named it and wanted me to sing “Baby Song” at bedtime.

Then, as I rocked our youngest to sleep each night, I began adding verses and turned it into a prayer lullaby that speaks God’s will and favor over His children. Taken straight from Scripture, I put my prayer for them into song based on the music and song my dad wrote and sang to me when I was little. Soon after, I had a new lullaby fit for Kingdom warriors.

I’m praying this lullaby blesses your bedtime routine, settles your home in God’s peace, and reminds your family— night after night— of His unchanging love and faithfulness.
