MAPLE GLEN BUILD REVEAL
It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally reveal day for this beauty! After a two year long project from top to bottom and everything in between, the full portfolio can be seen here and I’m honored to announce this project was awarded for both the Best Residential Kitchen Design Over 150 sq.ft. and Best Multiple Residential Space Over 3000 sq.ft. at last year’s ASID ANDYZ Awards! It’s truly an honor to work with amazing clients and trades that bring the vision to completion in such a beautiful way! It’s a team effort! Scroll down for the before and afters– I know you’ll love them!
When my clients purchased their home, they knew it needed a major overhaul. Although the bones were good, the dated cabinetry, tile countertops, overbearing brick fireplace, and awkward spaces proved to be anything but functional for their lifestyle and vision. With requests for a modern, sophisticated southern charmer, we gutted the entire house and designed a timeless classic perfectly suited for their family’s functions and needs full of whimsy, color and pattern.
We reworked their floorplan to efficiently use the space and provide plenty of natural light, living and entertaining space, and storage throughout. The entry is flanked by glass French doors on each side leading to the office and dining room, and instantly sets the tone for the home with the level of detail, sophistication and thoughtfully designed spaces. The gorgeous hardwood floor was custom cut and installed piece by piece for this beautiful entry pattern.

Through the glass French doors on the right, the office exudes fun colors and patterns with blue trellis wallpaper above the white paneled wainscot. It’s complimented by the artwork, rug, and coordinating roman shade fabric on the window. The custom built-ins house lateral files along with storage drawers under the window bench with lighted bookshelves above.

The kitchen is truly the heart of the home and this one needed a complete makeover. The once-dated cabinetry and tile countertops and awkward cut-up layout were redesigned to open up the space for beauty and function. It now boasts a long island with a prep sink and counter seating along with high-end appliances and a walk-in pantry. The sink sits under the trio of windows to the backyard and is flanked by white oak floating shelves with brass railing details. Brushed brass plumbing stuns throughout on both sinks and above the range along with the cabinetry hardware. A gorgeous deep blue glass hutch anchors the end by the walk-in pantry and is accented with white oak reeded detailing.
We used the height of the vaulted ceiling on the opposite side to highlight the 48” professional range, custom hood, and custom glass detailed cabinetry. A massive 60”w fridge and freezer column combo provides ample storage for their large family and a full height wine fridge completes the end of the range wall cabinetry towards the great room.

The kitchen opens to the great room which includes the wet bar and seating for all! Once half-the-size, we expanded the great room and raised the ceiling to create a dramatic and spacious area. A custom fireplace replaced the brick monstrosity and is now flanked by reeded white oak cabinetry. Ample natural light highlights the gorgeous patterns and colors that sit beneath the vaulted shiplap, beams and chandeliers.

The master suite beautifully combines color and pattern layered on neutral walls with inset wallpaper inside trimmed panels. The airy bedroom provides seating and glass French doors that open to the patio while the dual fireplace provides warmth for both the bedroom and bathroom.

Situated just off the master bedroom, the entry to the bathroom features glass French doors that open into a spacious area for all their pampering needs. The custom deep blue vanity is accented with bamboo mirrors above in the same hue and brass details throughout. The heated, porcelain marble floors and shower tile keep the space light and airy while combining beauty and durability. The large steam shower includes double showerheads and a handheld showerhead slide bar with tile designs and details that coordinate with the master bedroom walls. A freestanding tub is situated perfectly in front of the fireplace with playful navy patterned shades on the windows nearby. The whimsy and sophistication continue into the custom walk-in closet with white cabinetry, brass hardware and deep blue antelope carpet!

Now that you’ve seen some of its beauty, it’s time for the before and afters! These are all taken from the same angle and show how much a space can truly change!
