It’s reveal day for this full remodel! As soon as my clients closed on their home, my phone rang. They had found the perfect location and loved their new property, but knew the interior needed an overhaul and wanted to get started right away… and as a friend, she said she knew she’d be calling me one day, and that day was finally here!
Originally built in 1961, the home was outdated with awkward layouts, materials, and cut up flooring throughout. With visions of a sophisticated, yet colorful palette, we redesigned their spaces floor to ceiling, interior and exterior alike, and created a home that suits their family’s style and aesthetic.
With a plan in place, we demo-ed the interior, reworked the space, and designed a light, bright, and colorful home full of beauty and joy. It’s always so much fun to infuse a space with pattern play and color! We remodeled almost every room in their home for a fully cohesive design that blends sophistication and personality.
As the heart of the home, we expanded the kitchen into the nook area with a large island anchored on the ends with a wet bar and 48″ range. We kept the perimeter light and contrasted the island in a beautiful blue that coordinates perfectly with the rest of the design.
The formal living room sits right off the entry and is the first thing you see when entering the home. The gorgeous artwork is such a statement and perfectly ties all of the colors together and sets the tone for the rest of the house. The baby grand piano has an amazing backstory and we’re thrilled to have it in this room! She’s a beauty and brings in depth and character. And she gets plenty of use– the perfect definition of beauty and function going hand in hand!
The dining room is just off the living room and accented by a small, blue and white patterned wallpaper above a board and batten wainscot that instantly transforms the space. The mixed metal chandelier and navy velvet dining chairs are the perfect addition to this room.
As you’ll see below and in the full portfolio, we continued on with beauty, function, and color throughout the home. But now, it’s time for the transformation… here are the before and after photos!
